I'm a political junkie. For the past few weeks I've felt like a kid waiting for Christmas, counting the sleeps until U.S. election day. Don't ask me why I prefer American politics to my own country's version. I just do.

Well, it's just after midnight November 4, 2008. I can almost hear the clip-clop of Barack Obama's eight tiny reindeer on the roof - he could be the Messiah and Santa, right?
